Hi, I’m James, and I co-host Welcome to the Vibe with my mom Traci. We took a classic brick home on 10 peaceful acres and transformed it—room by room—into a modern-country retreat built for easy comfort and memorable moments. From the neon “Good Vibes Only” photo wall to the sunset fire pit and the 85″ smart TV, every detail was chosen to make your stay effortless and fun.
We’ve called Charles City home for 14+ years and live just 3 minutes down the road, so help is never far—whether you need an extra set of linens, a bundle of firewood, or quick tech support. I bring two decades of resort operations experience; my mom brings the creative touch that makes the house feel like home.
Along the way, we launched Power Up Hospitality, our local property-management company for short-term rentals. It keeps us deeply connected to the community and standards of great hosting—and those same best practices show up at The Vibe in the form of smooth communication, spotless spaces, and thoughtful amenities (hello, EV charger).
